ITINERARY:
DAY 01 – Lima transfer – Jaen – Chachapoyas
11:00 AM Flight Lima / Jaén (on behalf of passengers)
12.30 PM Reception at Shumba – Jaén airport
13:30 PM Departure to Chachapoyas on a 4-hour trip.
17:30 PM Arrival to Chachapoyas transfer and installation at the chosen hotel.
DAY 02 – FORTIFIED CITY OF KUELAP, majestic architectural work of the Chachapoyas.

08:30 AM Departure from Chachapoyas towards the town of Tingo 1 hour by car, 40 minutes from Chachapoyas we make a first stop for a panoramic view of the Archaeological Complex of Macro, known as “Macro Towers” for its constructive feature, is located on the hillside from a hill that faces the Utcubamba river.
09:45 AM Arrival at the ticket office to acquire the tickets and continue 10 more minutes by car to the boarding platform of the Telecabinas to Kuelap. (30 minutes in the cabins)
10:30 AM Disembarkation of passengers in the area called La Malca, where you will get the entrance tickets to Kuelap, passengers register and start the 1km walk (30 minutes) * the guided tour takes approximately 2 hours to the so-called “Fortress”, the which is built on the top of Cerro Barreta (3000 meters above sea level). It is a place surrounded by beautiful landscapes that at first glance seems an impenetrable place since it is covered with colossal walls and cliffs on three of its four sides. It contains three platforms whose interior has circular buildings decorated with friezes in the form of rhombuses and zigzag. Its complex interior architecture demonstrates its function as a well-organized population set.

13:00 PM Walk back to Malca
13:30 PM Transfer by cable car to the town of Tingo.
14:00 PM Lunch in Tingo or surroundings.
15:00 PM Return transfer to the city of Chachapoyas
16:30 PM Arrival in Chachapoyas, end of service.
DAY 03
YOU CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN:
CATARATA DE GOCTA (771 METERS OF HEIGHT) Treasure of the Cocachimba Community
Early in the morning we will move to the picturesque town of San Pablo de Valera, from there we will start our tour, from an hour and a half to two hours by horse and then five minutes on foot, to the Gocta Waterfall; On the way we will enjoy the great diversity of flora and fauna with the splendid view of the waterfall. Known locally as “La Chorrera”, the Gocta Waterfall is a waterfall that measures 771 meters high and is considered among the highest in the world. It is the perfect habitat for toucans, monkeys, pumas and rock cocks. It is located in an extensive forest covered with mist, in whose environment there are about twenty waterfalls. The area offers a beautiful combination of geography and history that makes it a magical place. We will return to San Pablo de Varela where we will taste a typical lunch.

08:30 AM Departure to the town of San Pablo 1 hour by car.
09:30 AM Arrival in the community of San Pablo, passenger registration at the ticket office.
10:00 AM Walk or ride of 2.30 hours to reach the Gocta Waterfall after admiring its unique beauty, taking pictures, returning to the town of San Pablo.
15.00 PM Lunch and return to Chachapoyas
17:00 PM Arrival to Chachapoyas, transfer to the hotel.
OR CHOOSE FOR
SARCOFAGOS DE KARAJIA Y CAVERNA DE QUIOCTA
In the morning we will depart to the town of Cruz Pata, then go to the funeral site of Karajía. On the way we will have a panoramic view of the Plaza de Armas de Luya. Cruz Pata, known as the Plateau of the Crosses is the starting point of our journey on horseback to reach Karajía in approximately 30 minutes. We will observe the Karajía Sarcophagi that belong to the pre-Inca culture of the Chachapoyas, they are made of anthropomorphic stone, wood and clay, they are unique in their kind because of their colossal size (up to 2.5 meters high) and because of their careful elaboration. We will return for lunch in the city of Luya. Then we will visit the Quiocta Caverns, a capricious work of Mother Nature, located in the district of Lamud, province of Luya. In these caverns seven rooms have been detected with stalagmites and stalactites that have been given different names as a result of their curious shapes.

08:00 AM Departure to the town of Cruz pata for 2 hours by car, from there we will take a 30-minute walk to reach the archaeological site of Karajia, the unique funeral style of Peru and the world, walk back to the town of Cruz pata.
12:00 PM Transfer to the restaurant located in the town of Lamud 1 hour by car.
13:00 PM Lunch
14:00 PM Transfer to the Quiocta cavern, 30 minutes by car to the parking area, 270 meters walk to the entrance of the cave, the visit inside the cavern takes approximately 1.30 hours, where thousands of stalactites and stalagmites can be seen.
18:30 PM Arrival to Chachapoyas, end of service.
DAY 04 – TRANSFER CHACHAPOYAS – JAEN – LIMA
07:00 AM Transfer Chachapoyas – Jaén
11:00 AM Arrival at Jaén airport
13:15 PM Direct flight Jaén / Lima – End of service
